Dear Player One:
I accept the minimum of 500 words on these posts although
now that it is late at night and my post is due tomorrow I fear that it will
hang over my head.
My past week has been rather exciting in both a positive and
negative way. First the negative, creepy stories from the town life. First,
upon visiting the local convenience store I was quite surprised that a man in
his 40s start talking to me while I was purchasing some sour patch kids. He
expressed a like of the candies but then came to the conclusion that I would
not share. He promptly stuck his tongue out at me and walked out of the store.
A strange even that would have been perfectly normally if the man had been a
child under 8 years of age. The second event concerns my daily ritual. I have
gotten up each morning and headed to get breakfast. The little bagel shop is
right on the way to my class. Wednesday there was a tall man in perhaps his
30s. He stood behind me in line for a time and then tapped me on the shoulder
and asked if I was in the ACC. I said no and went to pay for my food and left.
Thursday started in the same shop. He stood behind me again and asked me the
same question and I told him no again. After I paid for my food and I was
waiting for my meal, he tapped be on the shoulder again and asked if I was at
the movies last night. I informed him no again, got my food and left. I’m not
quite sure what to make of all of it, but this town if full of some really
unusual people.
I really miss having dinner with people. I have started to make an effort to go out with my classmates. I have never really liked to eat meals alone. It is a rather depressing experience. I hope that my furniture comes soon although I suspect I will not be able to schedule it until the weekend for it to be actually delivered. I am rather frustrated that the company that IKEA hired to deliver it has nothing but terrible reviews and nasty comments on their page. I hope I don’t have any problems but I really can’t say I would be surprised at this point.
Now the positive side is I got my first project done and I
got a group for another project. We as a group seem to click pretty well. The
idea was worked out relatively quickly and I got to sit and do what I really
like to. I have gotten a chance to dabble a bit more in animation which is
always fun but I certainly need more practice doing such things.
I’m really looking forward to the weekend where I can just
play some more games in the quiet of the computer laboratory. I don’t think it
will as hectic as last weekend where all the groups were scrambling to pull all
of our projects together.
I miss the waffling hour. I think I’m going to go try to buy
a big box of waffles this weekend. I guess I’m just a creature of habit and I
really don’t like to change my routines.
Your,
Player Two
